Our breathing souls
Concept
This painting was born from a special moment when I felt both fragile and infinite. The swirling forms and textured passages reflect the breath of clouds, the weight of silence before a storm, and the way emotions rise and fold like waves in the atmosphere.
Working on this circular canvas felt almost like shaping a world of its own. The composition moves between light and shadow, softness and intensity—just as we do in life. The curved forms aren’t just wind or cloud; they carry the weight of deep emotion, of connection with someone special. I think of these contrasting, interwoven elements as souls breathing—separate, yet in rhythm.
To me, it’s a painting to return to when you need stillness, or a gentle reminder that even in uncertain times, something is always moving, shifting, becoming.
Technique
Mixed media artwork is made with acrylic colors, pigments, acrylic binder mixed with sands.
Size and support
Size: 39.4" diameter x 1.6" thickness (100 cm diameter x 4 cm thickness) on wrapped linen canvas.
It's signed on the back and ready to hang.
