Closer to You is an intimate exploration of flow, lightness, and connection—a visual meditation on how we instinctively move toward what matters. This painting is inspired by the small, quiet lakes of the Dolomites mountains.
The layered, undulating forms evoke the merging of waves, reflections, and sky, dissolving the boundaries between air and water, presence and absence. Soft hues of turquoise, muted green, and pale white create an atmosphere of serenity and openness, while delicate textures invite quiet observation.
As I painted this piece, I reflected on how closeness can feel: gentle yet powerful, subtle but transformative—like mountain currents converging beneath the surface. Closer to You invites the viewer into a contemplative space, offering a reminder of stillness, natural beauty, and the quiet pull that draws us closer—to others, to nature, and to ourselves.
